In 2011, a friend of mine, Allan McGimpsey, invited me to his house for a jam session. What he didn't tell me was who the other two people would be. As it turned out, I played guitar with two of the world's best musicians.

On keyboards was Chistophe Sarret, the music director of France's TV show, 'Nouvelle Star', the equivalent of American Idol. This man arranges the music for the contestents on the show, making sure the orchestra has the songs written out and arranged for them.

On violin, we had the legendary L.A. studio violinist, Joel Derouin, who has played with a multitude of famous artists. Some of these include Christina Aguilera, Michael Buble, Mariah Carey, Kelly Clarkson, Aretha Franklin, Avril Lavigne, Paul McCartney, Shakira, Rush and many more. He also provided music for shows such as The Simpsons, Men in Black 3. He has played for the Grammy Awards, Academy Awards, Tonight Show, Saturday Night Live, Dancing with the Stars, and spent six seasons as concert master for American Idol.

The track begins with Joel doing a slightly tinny sounding violin solo, then myself (John Lister) doing a guitar solo, and finally Christophe taking over on the keyboards, emulating an organ. Alan played the electronic drum kit to keep us all together. Throughout the entire track, it is Christophe who plays the bass with his left hand on the keyboard.

It was an amazing honor to play with such distinguished gentlemen, so well respected in the music industry.
